Sergio Sorrentino and John King have been collaborating as a guitar duo for many years. They have released 3 CD's (Black Lake Blues, Portraits, and So Far So Close). Sergio invited John to collaborate with him at the International Guitar Festival in Lagonegro, Italy in August 2019; John invited Sergio to his online series "Sonic Gatherings" many times for interdisciplinary global performances during the pandemic, uniting musicians and dancers from around the world to create live experiences for a global audience. This CD, Bending Light, was recorded in May 2022 in Vercelli, Italy at Suoni Possibili Studios, and is the continuation of this shared love of collaboration, improvisation and the electric guitar in all its possibilities.
The title track, Bending Light, is the pre-release composition for what will be the complete CD recording of all 8 tracks..
